2007 Toronto English Plus Summer Camp
The 2007 Toronto English Plus Summer Camp will
operate from July 29 to August 18, 2007. ESL in Canada has made arrangements for special ESL English classes to operate at some of the attractions and events to supplement the in-class English school lessons. Participants can choose programs from 1 to 21 days. This 2007 Toronto English Plus Summer Camp program is open to international tour leaders who wish to travel to Canada with their students. The listed planned events can be switched or altered to accommodate bad weather or to attend extra special events.

THE BEACHES INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL
July 30 Day 2
Dinosaurs Alive! – the largest display of animated, life-size dinosaurs in the world, only at the Toronto Zoo. Get up close and personal with sixteen moving, roaring and startlingly realistic dinosaurs, featuring such prehistoric playmates as Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops and many others, complete with authentic sounds and special effects.

Toronto's CN Tower is celebrating 30 years as the Worlds Tallest Free-Standing Structure. About 2 million visitors soar to the top of the Towers incredible 1,815 feet (553.3 meters, or 181 stories) each year. Recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers along with the Panama Canal and Golden Gate bridge, the Towers record has gone unchallenged. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view from three observation levels, as well as dining at the award-winning 360 restaurant – which boasts the worlds highest wine cellar. Toronto Reference Library Tour. The new Toronto reference library officially opened, 2 November, 1977 at 789 Yonge Street, at the northeast corner of Asquith Avenue. This library features several collections, many services, virtual and computer learning stations including language learning labs.

George campus depart from the Nona Macdonald Visitors Centre, located at 25 King's
College Circle.

Ancient Peru Unearthed: Golden Treasures of a Lost Civilization.
The mysteries of the pre-Incan Sicán culture are revealed through a collection of
elaborately crafted objects excavated from an undisturbed gold-filled tomb in the Batan
Grande site on the northern coast of Peru. The tomb was uncovered by archaeologists in
the 1990s. Over 100 artifacts will be on display, including gold crowns, elaborate
headdresses, masks and jewelry, as well as pottery and metal objects.

The Beach or the Beaches Tour of Toronto's East end. It's three km long with nice scenes and the area is a park in itself, beautiful with picnic tables, biking and roller-blade trails and sandy beach on Lake Ontario.

Opening Day for the Canadian National Exhibition. There are a
thousand things to see and do: the International Marketplace; the Coliseum's horse
shows; the Midway; the Food Building; the Horticultural Building; the Automotive
Building; the petting zoo; the sports complex; and much more!!! My favorite Toronto
annual event is the Canadian National Exhibition held each summer.

Worldfest is an annual, three-day cultural event showcasing
International heritage, music, dance, and cuisine. This celebration caters to explorers
of all ages and nationalities and takes place all under one roof at Ontario Place. Many
different ethnic communities will be represented in a pavilion-style geographical zone
without borders. Explorers can leisurely roam from country to country; enjoying the
delights that each has to offer.

The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition is underway for the summer. The event includes sculpture, painting, original prints, ceramics,
glass, metal, wood, fibre, photography and mixed media. The 42nd annual Toronto
Outdoor Art Exhibition will take place at Nathan Phillips Square
Black Creek Pioneer Village a restored 19th-century rural Victorian community is
located in northwest Toronto. The Village re-creates the past with over 35 carefully
restored 1860s shops and homes, interpreters in period dress who help guide you through
Canadian history.
Paramount Canada's Wonderland is Canada's premier theme park and features over 200
attractions, more than 60 thrilling rides, North America's greatest variety of
roller coasters, and Splash Works, a 20-acre water park.
The Toronto Aerospace Museum's most ambitious project is the construction
of a full-size replica of the magnificent Avro CF-105 Arrow supersonic
interceptor that first flew at Toronto's Malton Airport in 1958.

The SkyDome
The tour begins with a visit to the renovated museum area and a short film
about the construction of the SkyDome. It continues with a 45 minute guided
walking tour of areas not usually accessible to the general public.
Toronto Blue Jays Baseball
Special group programs include: play
baseball/softball on the same field; take to the mound, throw a pitch; all summer camp
groups of 20 or more are invited to watch the Blue Jays; a buffet picnic in the stands
and catch all the behind-the-scenes action in

Riverdale Farm
Located within the historic Cabbagetown area, Riverdale Farm
replicates a small, turn of the century Ontario farm. Cows, pigs, horses, goats
and chicken provide lots of fun and learning opportunities for informal
demonstrations including milking, cream separating, egg collecting, sheep
shearing and wool spinning.
Toronto Argonauts Football Club
Formed as part of the Argonaut Rowing Club
using the double blue colours of Oxford and Cambridge for club members who were
rugby football enthusiasts. The Argos celebrate 130 years of history including
14 Grey Cup championships.
